The Mount Vernon Academic Decathlon team placed third in regional competition in Waterloo Jan. 23. They will move on to state, hosted here on March 1-2. Two MVHS students won medals at the competition: Mariah Schlueter for overall 2nd place Varsity Division, and Nate Marti for 3rd place overall Honors Division. Miranda Roudabush received a perfect score on the super quiz.
