The Mount Vernon Robotics Club competed on Saturday in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Although neither team qualified for the World Championships, both were successful. Team 458 finished the qualifier rounds with a 4 and 1 record and then made it to the semi finals before being eliminated. Team 4549 won a major award called the Think Award, which is based primarily on the quality of their engineering notebook. They both have qualified to compete at the Iowa tournament on Feb. 25, where they will have another chance to qualify for the World Championships in St. Louis.
