On Saturday the Linn Mar swim team competed at Kennedy High School in a Regional meet to qualify for State competition in Marshalltown. MV students Caitlin Gearhart, Kari Tanberg, and Lizzie Adams are members of the Linn Mar swim team and Mikaela Lengwin is on the diving team. Caitlin is an alternate for state competition. Lizzie qualified for state in all 4 of her events: the 200 Medley Relay broke a pool record and is ranked 2nd in the state. Lizzie got 2nd place in the 50 Free with a time of 24.8; she is ranked 7th in the state. The 200 Free Relay broke the Linn Mar record and the Kennedy pool record and is ranked 1st in the state. The 400 Free Relay is ranked 13th in the state. Good luck at state, swim team!
