Senior Drew Adams moved into the Iowa all-time career top 10 high school quarterbacks for all classes in touchdowns thrown and passing yards. He has thrown a total of 73 career touchdowns and needs only 25 more this season to reach the first place spot. In order to achieve the first place spot for passing yards, he needs only 2,302 more yards than his career thrown 6,844 yards.

This accomplishment came with the win against Camanche Sept. 8. Adams has worked towards this goal his entire high school career after receiving the position of starting quarterback his freshman year. “I wouldn’t be here without the opportunities I was given to play my first year,” Adams said. “Also, I wouldn’t have been able to get to this point without the help from my teammates.”

Yet this season, Adams hopes to achieve reaching first place of not only the all-time career passing yards but also the all-time career touchdowns thrown. “It will be cool to look back on these accomplishments and remember my teammates that I played with and the accomplishments we achieved together,” Adams said.
