On Nov. 18, the Publication and Design team held Shaving Cream Classic at 8:00 pm in the High School gym. Shaving Cream Classic is a men’s’ volleyball tournament, played by all grades. Each team was coached and reffed by a few volleyball players. Not only is it a fun to play, it is also a annual fundraiser for the Journalism classes.

The current seniors, class of 2017, are back to back champions. This year, they went undefeated, 4-0.  Senior Gabe Golberg said, “The talent we

have on this team has to be one of the best to ever come through Mount Vernon. Going undefeated two years in a row isn’t easy, but it was for us.”

At the end of the night, after all the games were played, one player from each grade was awarded with Best Dressed and MVP. For Freshman, best dressed was Logan Kelly, and the MVP was Sam Adams. The Sophomore Best Dressed was Parker Hampton, and the MVP was Detrick Vondracek. Blaise Anton was awarded Best Dressed for the Junior class, and their MVP was Nick Leopold. For the Seniors Best

Dressed was Golberg, the MVP was Zach Krogmann.

“I was honored to win best dressed,” said Golberg. “Just

wanted to look look good, that’s how you play good.”
