Prepare for Homecoming Week

Our court has been selected and dress-up days have been set. Here’s what you need to know for homecoming week.

Dress up Days

By Abby Davidson

Monday- Twin Day

Tuesday- Country vs Country Club Day

Wednesday- Generation Day

Freshmen- Babies, Sophomores- Toddlers, Juniors- Parents, Seniors- Senior Citizens

Thursday- Powderpuff Day

Friday- Spirit Day

Every year one of the most anticipated weeks of the school year comes along. Thankfully it comes along early.

Our week is started out by Twin Day on Monday. Friends and friends dress as if they are twins for the day. For some siblings it’s easier than others.

On Tuesday, Country vs Country Club. Some students will decide to dress as if they’re a stereotypical rich golfer. While others will dress like stereotypical country liver.

Wednesday may be a half day but it may have one of the best dress up days. Generation Day. Students from each grade are given an age group to dress as. Freshmen are babies due to being the youngest in the school. Next, sophomores are toddlers. Followed by juniors being the parents. Lastly the seniors are senior citizens.

Since most festivities are on Thursday night including the parade, powderpuff, and coronation our theme for the day at school is Powderpuff. The teams this year are Senior/Sophomore Beauties vs. Junior/Freshman Beasts. Although not everyone has something to do with Powderpuff, so there’s an alternative. Which is teacher and student switch up day, teachers will dress as students and students as teachers.

The final day of the week is Friday. Every year students celebrate Friday by dressing in their Mustang gear to support the team during their homecoming football game. This year it is no different.
