As basketball season is finally upon us, MVHS Boys Basketball is standing at a record of 4-1 to start the year. In these games so far, they have defeated Grinnell, Benton, Williamsburg, and Jefferson, and lost only to their rival, Solon. Mount Vernon is on a roll this year, looking to become the WaMaC conference champions.  

To start off this season, the MVHS basketball team has set many different goals, some of those include getting better throughout the season,  and playing to win and have fun. While playing in the championship game would be fun, coach Roberts and the players are centered around getting better each day. Little increments like this make big impacts late into the year. 

This video shows the journey of the MVHS boys basketball team and what they want to do to be able to succeed in this season. This story also talks about what the seniors thoughts are on this year and what they need to focus on to win. Everyone on the team wants to be able to enjoy this moment while they can because this season won’t last forever.
