Wherever you went in Mount Vernon on Thursday, Dec. 1, you could see students showing their talents. In the First Street Building, snowflakes made by elementary students in Sarah Fitzgerald’s classes were hung to make a chandelier and set off with blue lighting by parent Stan Crocker. In Mount Vernon Bank and Trust, high school choir students sang Christmas carols, and in many businesses there were students playing their instruments to the delight of customers.
