The Science Olympiad Team placed second in State competition on Saturday, April 7, at Coe College. In a total of 23 events, the team got 1st place in four events.
“It was a accomplishing season, and I’m proud of all the progress we have made,” said sophomore Sadie Player.
The events that the team got first in are Experimental Design, Dynamic Planet, Mission Possible Forensics.
The team got second place in eight events: Herpetology, Microbe Mission, Material Science, Optics, Astronomy, Hovercraft, Disease Detectives, and Mousetrap.
The team also earned three bronze medals in the events Helicopters, Remote Sensing, Towers, Game On.
