For once it wasn’t snow that blanketed Mount Vernon in white…it was the student section cheering on the boys basketball team Tuesday night against Solon. However, the fans’ strategy did not succeed, as the varsity team lost, 33-40. The basketball team has a strong season overall, with 11 wins, 5 losses. Their next game is against Beckman on Friday and their last home game is Feb. 1 against Central DeWitt.
