Junior Kate Margheim has been creating art for as long as she can remember. Margheim has created many works of art over the years, 10 of which have been entered into competitions. Many people know her artwork from places such as Chalk the Walk and displayed throughout the high school.
Her favorite piece of art is something that started out as a doodle on the back of some sheet music, and then progressed into a interesting piece of art that that she has invested a lot of time into.
When she creates art she tends to be more comfortable with water-color and ink. She creates these pieces of art because she feels ”It is easier to express intense emotions. You can show what an emotion looks like and express how intense it is, as they say a picture speaks a 1000 words.”
Margheim wants to take drawing and become an art teacher, such as her inspiration Mr. Andresen. She wants to be able to pass advice and be able to “just be there” for other budding artists.
