Little known to many, video-editing is a way for senior Boe Brendes, as he puts it, to express himself artistically while being able to incorporate his favorite movies, music and video games into his art.

Brendes uses a computer program called Adobe After Effects to create short music videos that he posts online.

Brendes started this interesting hobby around his freshman year. During the past four years, he has created many different types of “edits”. They range from being about video games, to cartoons and modern day films.

Even though you may have never heard of it editing is not as solitary as it sounds. Boe is involved in groups of people that edit together for fun. These groups range from a variety of platforms from Instagram to YouTube, where editors critique and share work.

He plans on taking his knowledge about editing to a career in freelance editing. This means he will create projects for customers on demand, doing things like designing commercials and maybe TV shows someday.
