The midterm finals are approaching. Along with the happiness of the upcoming winter break it brings the anxiety of testing. The freshmen are coming into high school being introduced to the huge stress, pressure and anxiety of exams.
“As a freshman you can get really stressed out about finals, but as you get older you learn to approach finals more calmly. The more you panic the worse you are going to do, the calmer you are the better,” said senior Ryan Williams.
The finals for this semester vary, some teachers are actually going to administer a cumulative test over the material covered throughout the semester but some teachers are going to give the students a unit test.
“I have a big final and it’s in math. I think it will be the hardest because we are going to take it in two parts on two separate days,” said freshman Henry Maddock.
Maddock said that he is going to study for his final by reviewing his notes from all the chapters and doing some practice problems.
Studying, patience and time are keys to preparing for any form of testing.
