This year will be Mount Vernon’s first WPA (Women Pay All), also known as a Sadie Hawkins dance. If the name hasn’t told you enough, the girls ask the boys, then proceed to pay for everything. It’s just like homecoming but the roles are switched. It’s going to be held in the high school commons Saturday, Feb. 13, from 9 p.m. to midnight.
There will be a professional photographer in the band room from 9-10, so come prepared with money to order photos. If you’re wondering what the dress code is, it’s up to you. Some girls are going in dresses and heels, while others are going in jeans and t-shirts. As for guys, khakis or jeans and a nice shirt will look nice enough.
People have been saying that there is no need for a corsage or boutonniere, this is not as formal as homecoming. As for music, if you have any suggestions go head over to the student council twitter(@StuCoMV) and direct message them the songs you would like to hear. Hope to see everyone there tomorrow night at nine!
