The eighth annual Shaving Cream Classic boys volleyball tournament was held on Friday, Nov. 8. This event was held to raise money for the high school yearbook team, and ended up raising a total of $450.00 through T-shirt sales and admission. Yearbook adviser JoAnn Gage said that the proceeds will be just enough to fund adding four pages to the yearbook which was a goal of this year’s staff.
A total of 10 games were played by each grade and the staff. The seniors dominated, winning all of their games. A most valuable player trophy was awarded for each team. Tristan Wirfs was the freshman MVP, Mitchell Kragenbrink was MVP for sophomores, Johnny See was MVP for juniors, Jake Leopold was MVP for seniors, and art teacher Ely Sotillo was the MVP for the staff team. Marquis Dew, sporting zebra accessories, won the best dressed trophy.
