The yearbook staff has a little competition going within the group for the best photo of the month. Students were required to turn in their best two photos from September and write captions for them. Adviser JoAnn Gage is charged with the task of deciding on the winning photo, but could not narrow it to just one. The assignment is an opportunity for students to recognize the elements of a good photo and to get some feedback on the work they are doing.
Sophomore Sarah Zinkula won for her image of Kylea Weber passing a serve against Solon on Sept. 28. Mount Vernon won the match in three games.
Sophomore Kyla Rand won for her photo of Marshall Tuerler, #14, and Andy Bellamy, #77, going for the takedown as Griffin Kuntz, #73, goes for the assist in the Sept. 24 game against Solon. The game ended in a loss for Mt. Vernon witha score of 0-37.
