The Iowa High School Press Association has sent awards for the Spring Newspaper Contest. The Mustang Moon won 11 individual awards, competing in a division with other schools who print as a page in their local newspaper. Editor Haleigh Ehmsen, a senior, won a total of five awards: first place news story, second place news story, first place in-depth reporting, second place editorial cartooning, and second place columns.
