Have you ever woken up and not wanted to get up for school? I have, having a four-day school week with Wednesday being a weekend for students to not get drained out during the week. For the reason being that people can get more drained a lot faster when there is less time to relax and get more time to do things they love.
Many people speculate that no schools on Wednesdays would improve the wellness of students and teachers, while it does limit the learning of students’ education, it makes a difference that we students need the break in the middle, not only because of burning out, but also they would be keeping more of a mental tab on what homework, or activities they have.
You and your friends are able to hang out on the days that you have off, not only that, but you would be able to have more time with your projects and homework, so you get more time to think about it and prepare everything.
But that would come with many downsides, such as the fact that it would be going into summer and possibly making our summer time shorter, but the solution to this would be finding a way to make the other school days a little bit longer. Say going until 4 in the afternoon, it would make the time in the summer, but still have time for that. Although not many schools do it.
So even though it may take into the summer and would elongate the days that we have during school, it would still help the overall well-being of everyone, and not just students. So it may have some flaws to it, but who wouldn’t want no school on Wednesdays?
