At Mount Vernon very few people play Farming Simulator but the ones who do, don’t stop until the field work is done. Farming Simulator is a game created By Giants Software. Farming Simulator has been around since 2008. Farming Simulator has been growing in popularity every few years when a new game is released.

The newest Farming Simulator came out on Nov 12, 2024 called Farming Simulator 25, and it was played by students at MVHS on release day. Some kids now only have a few hours on the game, others have over 60 hours. Farming Simulator 25 has some of the newest machines in the agriculture industry, while it also has some old equipment from the 1980’s. The game also has some of the nicest graphics of any Farming Simulator. Weston Haskell, a freshman at MVHS, 3 “The graphics are a large jump for Farming Simulator 19.”

Wylie Lange, a senior at MVHS, has over 60 hours on Farming Simulator 25. Lange’s reasoning for having over 60 hours on Farming Simulator, was “I have nothing better to do.” Instead of focusing on school Lange goes home and focuses on his virtual farm. Lange doesn’t only play at home he has found ways to play at school as well.

The multiplayer in the game has improved from the previous games. The game can run bigger maps with more mods at better quality than that last game. Every day Giant Software releases new mods for free to all the players. The mods can range from small and realistic to massive and unrealistic equipment.
