MV Wins Battle of the Mustangs in the 3A Regional Opener

Kenzie Rentschler evades an Independence opponent. Rentschler led the team in scoring with 18 points, including five 3-pointers, establishing a new school record of 56 3-pointers in a season.
Mount Vernon won over Independence 48-31 on Feb. 12.
The postseason continues tonight for the Mustangs in the regional semifinals against #9 Roland-Story there at 7 p.m.
