Marathon Monsters is a running club in Mount Vernon, Iowa, that is held for kindergarten through sixth grade. It was created by Crystal Eskelsen 27 years ago. Crystal and her husband, Rich, run Marathon Monsters every year at the track that is located by the elementary building. During the season the kids run a total of 26.2 miles.
