Student thespians met in the auditorium May 12 to honor their achievements. Tom Stephens, the drama coach and thespian adviser, handed out the awards. Winning the People’s Choice Awards were Gabby Veleva for Best Orator, Jessie Mhire for Best Technician, Janelle Knight for Best Actor.
Winners of the Maggie Ellison Awards were Gabby Veleva for Best Newcomer, Zak Moran for Outstanding Season, and Adrienne Smith and Christian Mlynarczyk for Senior Excellence. The students capped off the evening by giving tech director Eric Butikofer a hug on stage. Mr. Stephens also announced the shows for next season: Little Shop of Horrors, Macbeth, Much Ado About Nothing, and The Music Man. Congratulations to our talented drama department!
